Hello Everyone,
Once again, time is ripe to release an update to the beta. This time around we had time to work on some new stuff -which I will tell about right aways-, while we also completed a handful of bugfixes.
As usual, comments regarding the beta are welcome in the Forums. We have merged the threads of the two previous betas - just continue posting to this joined thread.

I was idly browsing the admin pages of our webshop, powered by eSellerate, just checking sales data and stuff like that, fooling around in the menus.
This is how I found this function under the heading Coupons, which lets you create a discount for the first n buyers in your webshop. I haven’t noticed this option before, so I went ahead and created Coupon CPN4664357658, which will give a $35 discount on a ForkLift license to the first 99 buyers.
If I’m right, this means ForkLift is now just 10 bucks if you’re quick enough.

Hello Everyone,
Just letting you know we’re doing our homework, and have compiled a nice little update on the beta.
Here’s the download link: ForkLift 1.6b2
I am also starting a new forum thread for the purpose of discussing usability issues.
We have fixed a number of the bugs reported so far, but not all. Nevertheless, please report any bugs you find in this release.
Also, we’d like to ask you to continue using the bug report form on our Support page for reporting specific bugs and sending in crash reports, etc.
Good hunting.

The day many of us have been looking forward to with great anticipation has finally come. We have toiled relentlessly on what we consider the start of a major overhauling of ForkLift’s user interface, with the aim of reaching new levels in software usability.
In fact, the changes from the 1.5 code are so radical, that we thought we needed to release a beta version first.
And because some changes may not be apparent from the outside, please, be very attentive in testing this beta, as even minor things that used to work flawlessly could in theory be broken and we’re counting on you for finding them.
Still, there shouldn’t be many functional bugs left, so please concentrate and comment freely on usability issues.
We have created a sticky thread in our Forums - please post your reports there, so other users can read and comment on them.
And now, without further ado, here’s ForkLift 1.6(beta)
This beta will expire on November 7, 2008.

Hello People,
I know everyone’s eager to see this new beta, so I’ll be short and get back to work fast.
To tell the truth, this beta got us carried away a bit, with one new feature leading to the other, until we were facing a more or less complete rewriting of all our existing modules, almost.
So we had to step on the breaks and decide which components will get into this release. The new Tabs, keyboard controls for the file list and for volume selection will of course be included, but we’re keeping some other exciting stuff in mystery, and continue their development after a successful 1.6 release.
We still have a couple of bugs to fix and a few day’s work finalizing the new features, but we’ll try to get the release ready for next Monday.
My monkey tells me to get back to work. See you later.
